JNO CHARTER

  •  The Charter for the Joyist Nations Organization (JNO) is a conceptual framework inspired by the United Nations to promote peace, joy, and positivity for people and the planet. 


  • It outlines the principles, goals, and structure for a new global entity focused on inner well-being and compassionate action.  


  • It comprises of a Preamble and 8 Chapters encompassing 15 Articles. 

JNO - PREAMBLE

  We, the people of Earth, 

affirm that JOY is our BIRTHRIGHT 

inherent to all beings. Beyond the absence of suffering lies ‘Positive Peace’- a state of harmony within Ourselves, our 

People / communities, and our Planet.


In recognition of our shared humanity and interconnectedness with all life, 

(based on the ancient maxims “Vasudeva Kutumbukam” & “ Yaadhum

Oore Yaavarum Kelir”), 


we declare the following principles to safeguard

and nurture Joy as a universal global foundation for all of Humanity. 


We, the peoples of the world, united in the spirit of joy,harmony, 

and shared prosperity, are determined to :

·  End the causes of conflictby cultivating peace through 

Universal compassion and cooperation.

· Promote Love , Peace & Joy as a fundamental human 

experience, enriching the spirit of every individual.

· Foster prosperity that is equitable, sustainable, and 

accessible to all peoples of the planet.

· Protect the Earth, our shared home, ensuring its resources 

sustain the present and future generations.

· Uphold dignity, justice, and respect for all cultures & faiths.


And in adherence to and in consonance thereof, do hereby establish 

the JOYIST NATIONS ORGANISATION

 as a community of

Nations dedicated to Peace and Joy 

for all People on the Planet.

 

JNO PREAMBLE

JNO - CHAPTERS & ARTICLES

  
 

Chapter I: Purposes and principles

Article 1

The Purposes of the Joyist Nations Organization are:

  1. To promote internal and external peace by providing tools and resources for individual well-being and fostering peaceful dialogue and nonviolent communication globally.
  2. To cultivate a culture of joy by encouraging human connection,  creativity, and the celebration of life in all its forms.
  3. To spread positivity by promoting gratitude, optimism,  and an appreciation for the planet and all its inhabitants.
  4. To encourage environmental stewardship by inspiring people to treat the planet with reverence and act as responsible guardians of its natural  beauty.
  5. To provide a platform for cooperation among individuals, communities,  and nations to solve global challenges with a mindset of hope and shared   purpose.

Article 2

The Organization and its members shall act in accordance with these Principles:

  1. Sovereign inner peace: Every individual has the right and  responsibility to cultivate their own inner peace, and no member may  interfere with this personal journey, provided it does not harm others.
  2. Universal compassion: All actions and decisions of the  Organization shall be guided by compassion for all people, animals, and the planet.
  3. Peaceful engagement: Members shall resolve disputes      through dialogue, empathy, and creative problem-solving, rejecting the use of aggression or force.
  4. Collective responsibility: The well-being of each member is  inextricably linked to the well-being of all; therefore, members shall  assist one another in times of need.
  5. Honesty and transparency: The Organization shall operate with full transparency, and all members are encouraged to communicate  honestly and authentically.


Chapter II: Membership

Article 3

Membership in the JNO is open to all individuals, Nations and communities who accept the obligations of the present Charter and, in the judgment of the Organization, are able and willing to carry out these obligations.

Article 4

The Organization shall not discriminate against anyone based on race, gender, religion, national origin, or any other characteristic. All members are welcomed and valued for their unique contributions to the collective joy.

Article 5

Any member who consistently and flagrantly violates the principles of this Charter may, after due process and compassionate consultation, be respectfully disengaged from active membership. The purpose is not to punish but to protect the integrity of the collective.


Chapter III: Organs

Article 6

The principal organs of the Joyist Nations Organization are established as follows:

  1. The General Assembly of Joy: Composed of all members, serving  as the central forum for dialogue, idea-sharing, and collaborative  decision-making on major initiatives.
  2. The Council of Compassion: A smaller, rotating body of      representatives tasked with addressing conflicts, mediating disagreements,      and ensuring the principles of the Charter are upheld.
  3. The Secretariat of Positivity: Responsible for the day-to-day  operations, including managing resources, coordinating programs, and      disseminating positive news and uplifting content.
  4. The Earth Stewardship Council: Dedicated to overseeing and  coordinating environmental projects and educational programs to promote      planetary health.


Chapter IV: The General Assembly of Joy

Article 7

All members of the Organization shall be members of the General Assembly of Joy. Each member shall have one voice in the Assembly's decisions.

Article 8

The Assembly may discuss any questions or matters within the scope of the present Charter. It shall make recommendations to the members and the other organs on matters concerning global peace, joy, and positivity.


Chapter V: The Council of Compassion

Article 9

The Council of Compassion shall consist of five to seven rotating members, selected by the General Assembly, who possess exemplary qualities of empathy, wisdom, and peaceful communication.

Article 10

The Council shall be available to mediate and settle disputes between members by peaceful means. Its recommendations are non-binding but carry significant moral authority within the Organization.


Chapter VI: The Secretariat of Positivity

Article 11

The Secretariat of Positivity shall be headed by a Secretary of Joy, appointed by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Council of Compassion.

Article 12

The Secretariat shall serve all other organs of the Organization. It shall prepare reports, manage projects, and ensure the principles of joy and positivity are actively integrated into all activities.


Chapter VII: Environmental stewardship

Article 13

The Earth Stewardship Council shall oversee initiatives designed to protect, restore, and celebrate the planet. Its mission is to encourage members to take responsibility for their ecological footprint and inspire Joyist action for a healthier Earth.


Chapter VIII: Amendments and ratification

Article 14

Amendments to the present Charter shall come into force for all members of the Organization when they have been adopted by a two-thirds vote of the General Assembly of Joy.

Article 15

The present Charter shall be open for ratification by all individuals and communities. It shall come into force when a critical mass of members has ratified it, signaling a global commitment to its purposes and principles.
